Summer is often a time for travel, sun and relaxation. I love to travel and I hope to do much more of it exploring new parts of the world. My destination of choice now would be Costa Rica but not sure how that would go with a 3 year old?
From the travel that I have made I have collected 3 of my favourite destinations and hotels. Maybe you will get some inspiration for your next family holiday or when you want to whisk your wife away. Stay tuned for some more hotels and destinations in a post later on.
La Mamounia Marrakech, Morocco
There is something untouchably romantic and magical about Marrakech. The view of the Atlas mountains sipping some tea from a riad roof top would count as one of my favourite things to do. And the most magical and legendary place to stay is La Mamounia. La Mamaounia has a rich history and both Roosevelt and Churchill chose this place to stay when they wanted a retreat from the world.
Ventana Inn Big Sur, California, USA
As I said when I arrived here, the silence was deafening. It was so quiet that it almost hurt my ears. It was stunning and serene. You felt one with nature. We had deers wondering about outside our hotel room. I went a few years back and the hotel has just undergone some major renovations including the possibility for glamping and other close to nature experiences. Nearest Air port is Monterey or you can fly to LA and then hire a car and drive up the windy roads.
Borgo Egnazia, Puglia, Italy
Borgo Egnazia has achieved the perfect blend between a luxury adults resort whilst at the same time being the most child friendly hotel I’ve ever been to. Play with your kids in the big kids pool with access to a million toys and take them to the dedicated kids restaurant. When you feel you need some down time. Drop them off at the kids club where they’ll make their own pizza or just run around with the others and you can get some well deserved time to exercise or just have a drink by the pool. Up to you:)
